SUZUMIYA Haruhi no Yubiwa -- A Cute Doujinshi Cover (No April Fools!)

涼宮ハルヒの指輪/The Marrige Ring of Haruhi Suzumiya [sic]

Hey gang.  As some of you may know, I never did get on the Haruhi Suzumiya bandwagon (check the link for my various thoughts on the subject), even though I did watch the first anime series.  That's because I saw the "brilliance" of that first anime series as a clever marketing scheme that worked brilliantly for the Japanese.  Nevertheless, I do appreciate nifty artwork when I see it, especially when tied to a series I know.  Sometimes, that appreciation leads to sharing of the love.

Doujinshi creators "huzita" and 蔵人 have produced a non-hentai doujinshi called SUZUMIYA Haruhi no Yubiwa, with the official Engrish [sic] title being The Marrige Ring of Haruhi Suzumiya.  Here's the cover image for their doujinshi, which was released at Comiket 81 this past winter.

Although I may not be a fan of the franchise, I have to say that I really loved the sweetness of this image.  Thus, I share it with you.  ^_^

I believe the 44-page doujinshi can still be purchased from Toranoana's site (¥525), which has a couple of additional black-and-white images from the inside of the doujinshi.  Sadly, we gaijin cannot purchase from the site, but there are services in Japan who can and do in order to deliver Japanese goodies to gaijin who want them.
